Morpeth Town AFC

The extra preliminary round of the FA Cup kicks off tomorrow, so I decided to pick a team and go on a glory hunt.

The idea is I pick a team and follow them as far as they go, then when they are beaten I follow the team that knocked them out, I will continue doing this right up to the final next May, hence the glory hunting bit.

There are 184 pre-lim games taking place this weekend and I went for Morpeth Town AFC of the EBAC Nothern League Division 1.  Tomorrow they start their FA Cup journey at home to Dunston UTS.

They are managed by Nick Gray and they play at Craik Park which is near Morpeth Common in Northumberland.

Morpeth have played 2 games so far this season, they drew 2-2 with Newcastle Benfield in their first game and they then beat Ashington 2-1 in their second game. They are currently 8th in the league.

They are captained by midfielder Sean Taylor

Their leading scorer with 2 goals already this season is Michael Chilton, who if selected tomorrow will line up against one of his former teams.

If your looking for a team to support in the FA cup tomorrow, why not get on Morpeth Town.

Come on you Highway Men.
